Those working to maintain our supply chain, the daily commuters, and Ontarians alike have been significantly impacted by COVID-19 as travel, both how often we do it and how we experience it, has changed. Protocol, best practices and mandates have been evolving over this time and ONroute has implemented many changes to protect the health and safety of our customers and employees.
We take our role as an essential workplace very seriously and are always working to ensure that our ONroute plazas are a safe and clean place to work and to stop. All 23 of our travel plazas remain open, offering 24/7 access to washrooms, fuel, parking and food/beverage via take-out, grab and go, and drive-through services.
Precautionary Measures
We have numerous precautionary measures in place to limit the spread of COVID-19 in our plazas and continue to monitor government updates for ways that these efforts may need to evolve or change. Our current measures include enhanced cleaning and sanitization, closed dining and seating areas, continually re-emphasizing proper hand-washing protocols, newly installed plexi-glass shields, implementing new queue protocols, introducing gloves and masks, and many more. Looking Forward
We recognize that COVID-19 will continue to change how various elements of travel and business functions are conducted in the future. As such, the precautionary measures that we have introduced will remain in place as Ontario’s economy re-opens and many of those measures will continue over the long-term.
