Meadow Restoration

Bee on the lookout! 🐝 We’re excited to share that ONroute will be installing a native pollinator meadow at Woodstock and Ingersoll!

➑ What is a native pollinator meadow?

Meadows are plant communities that provide habitat for our native birds, pollinators and small mammals.

➑ What does this accomplish?

This native pollinator meadow will support biodiversity, species at risk, food security, prevent erosion and provide a variety of natural services in the area!

We’re excited to be partnering with the Canadian Wildlife Federation on this project.

‍

Why meadows in Woodstock and Ingersoll?

➑ Provides habitat for our native birds, pollinators and small mammals

➑ Meadow grasses and wildflowers have exceptionally long roots that hold and store carbon in the soil

➑ Prevents erosion by slowly filtering stormwater

‍

We expect the pollinator meadow to be a valuable natural asset to the area over time!
