To Our Customers,

While circumstances are far from normal and we are currently facing unique challenges, it has been an honour to support Ontarians as an essential service during this time. And now, with the gradual re-opening of the Ontario economy underway, we are looking forward to continuing that service in the critical weeks and months ahead.

Our priority right now is keeping our customers and employees safe and delivering our services to those who are conducting essential travel during COVID-19. At the same time, we continue to plan and look to the future with a focus on building upon our already strong offerings. Our goal during this global crisis and beyond is providing an even higher level of service and choice to the over 40 million customers we serve across Ontario every year.

Customers can expect to see new commercial partnerships, greater choice in retail and food offerings, and tailored services and amenities that are traveller-focused and consider emerging trends in the sector. Our goal and priority as Ontario’s Highway Service Centres is to meet your needs as a traveller and make sure that we have what you need, when you need it. When it comes to having a one-stop-shop along your journey, you can be sure that ‘we’re ON it’!

The exciting times ahead for ONroute would not be possible without our employees. They are an integral part of our company’s success to date and they have been exceptional during COVID-19. Their service and support to our customers means that they understand, perhaps more than anyone, the needs of the travelling public in Ontario. I will work with our entire ONroute team as we plan and move forward into the future to ensure we are delivering exceptional customer service to those who visit our 23 plazas every year.

I joined ONroute as CEO in October 2019, shortly after its acquisition by Arjun Infrastructure Partners and Fengate Asset Management. I saw this position as one that would be full of opportunity and, with a dedicated Canadian leadership team, one that would inspire professional growth.

More than ever, I have full confidence in our team and am excited to lead ONroute through its next phase of growth. I believe there’s a future story for ONroute that has yet to be written. Thank you for letting us be a part of your journey, and for being there for ours.

We look forward to seeing you soon.

Sincerely,

Melanie Teed-Murch, CEO
